What makes a good portrait? The first thing that most people will list is Camera, Lens, Lighting, a few other people may suggest light modifiers and post processing, we then have the pose and setting, backdrops etc.
However, there is 1 single thing that a lot of people seem to miss out, and that is your voice.
So, it’s been a while since I’ve wrote anything here, and that’s because it’s been extremely busy!
I have been working on some new advertising media, and will be launching a leaflet marketing campaign in a week or so. Leaflet holders will be entitled to a 10% discount on portraits, and a free album cover upgrade for Wedding packages.
If you wish to make use of this offer but don’t have a leaflet, just mention you read it on this blog, and I will honour it.
Finally, I am hoping to photograph a local Snowboarder Stephen Howson in the near future, for some of his own marketing.
And finally, for anybody who is wondering about venues for weddings, then rain or shine, you really can’t go wrong with Statham Lodge, a beautiful place!
So, aswell as doing everything I can to push my business. I also need to push myself.
Working with new techniques, new lighting styles is always risk on a commissioned job. So I generally play it safe, and work with what I know.
Finally, the last product of the Photo line is complete and available to order.
So, there’s finally some information around the net about the D3x and D3h with spec and sample images, from quite a reliable source. Though I’m very suprised it’s not all around the forums already.
